Current Song = One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces by Ben Folds
I spent yesterday at the games club playing a couple of the new games from Essen, had a couple of beers and managed to relax a little. Came home and fell asleep on the sofa. It makes change to get a long weekend. So much travelling back and forth you don’t tend to realise how tired you are.
This morning I headed into Manchester. Went and bought some socks from Primark, then went and bought a portable hard disc for the laptop. 65GB of music was starting to take up a serious amount of space on the hard disc…err 65GB worth actually, so I went into Currys and bought 160GB one. It cost £67 so that’s not too bad. Only one problem is….it’s ORANGE! No Lisa, I’m not taking the piss..lol
Anyway, after asking for a dongle to connect the Wii to my laptop and being told there was no such animal, I left. Went for a walk around the arndale and came across another shop that did a fair amount of Wii stuff, where, funnily wnough I found my Dongle. £30…Jesus H Christ on a bike. !!!!! Oh well, I have one now, it’s not like I have to buy one every week,

Anyway, as I was leaving the shop after buying the dongle, all sorts of alarms started to go off, so I went back into the shop and they checked the dongle. It was clear, so we checked the bag and it was the portable hard disc that I had bought from Currys that they hadn’t scanned. Luckily the bloke in the other shop scanned it off for me so I wasn’t going to set off every alarm in the Arndale.

I then went off to “This & That” which is a hidden away curry house where I had Rice & Three and a Naan Bread for £3.50. Yummy Moghul food as always. The curry tends to be fairly mild, but tastes sensational. Came away very full, and decided to head home. When I got home poor Nobby was soaked after being out all day, so he ran in straight away and there were muddy cat paws all over the place. Cooking Fat!

One of the things about walking around at this time of year is the overpowering sell sell sell of Christmas. I have never been a Christmas fan at the best of times, and see it merely as a promotional thing to make kids greedy. Laughing Santa Claus’s and Singing Reindeer don’t do it for me, especially at the start of November.

Oh well, that’s probably enough. Time for bed.
